While we will upload some film footage from the night in due course, we just wanted to send a note and celebrate the fact the ZHUCHI launch was PHENOMENALLY good on Friday 21 June!

It may have been cold, it may have been dark and wintery, but inside the Museum Theatrette the mood was very different.

From the entry, guests were led through the exhibition to be greeted by a harp being played beautifully by ZHUCHI friend, Deputy Chancellor of Charles Sturt University, Kathryn Pitkin.

Inside the theatrette, the red brick walls and industrial beams were accentuated by green lighting. Lucky bamboo centrepieces, plants and a lounge area in green and white created an ambient and stylish theme for such a beautiful venue.

Carl Honoré was fantastic. A funny, smart, inspiring, humble man who is the essence of what he talks about - The Slow Movement: not doing everything slower but doing everything at the RIGHT speed.

After the formalities were over, the fabulous Amy Vee won us over with her considerable repertoire of musical talent.

For about four hours on Friday, I could have been in a New York Art Gallery opening somewhere on Manhattan Island :)

It was an experience! A real ZHUCHI experience.
